Born in 1983. Learned glass crafts at a university in Akita Prefecture and started production. After working as an artist belonging to a glass studio in Toyama Prefecture, he opened a studio in Akita Prefecture in 2020. The unique expressions of works with unique textures have attracted attention, and he has held solo exhibitions at various galleries.

Mr. Shun Kumagai's works are produced by applying the technique of glass casting. The unique texture of the layers of clay and glass baked on the surface of the work has a charm that makes you think of ancient glass. The work created while living with two cats is a vessel that looks like an object.
