Aki Sakaida / Glass
Born in 1982. Learned glass crafts at a university in Akita Prefecture and started production. In 2012, he moved his production base to Toyama City and joined Toyama Glass Studio after working as an assistant to a glass artist. After that, he moved his production base to Akita Prefecture in 2017 and held solo exhibitions at department stores and galleries nationwide.

Aki Sakaida, a glass artist who works in her workshop in Akita Prefecture, lives with her two cats. The "Kuyuri" series, which uses the technique of blowing glass and burns the wax again after shaving the glass, is attractive for its ephemeral scenery in a dignified beauty.

She studied glass craft at a university in Akita and others, and started to create works. 2012, she moved her production base to Toyama city and worked as an assistant to a glass artist before joining Toyama Glass Studio. She then moved her studio to Akita Prefecture in 2017. Aki Sakaiida enjoys living with her two cats.
