1983年生まれ。秋田県の大学などでガラス工芸を学び、制作を始める。富山県のガラス工房所属作家などを経て、2020年に秋田県に工房を構える。独自の質感を持つ作品のユニークな表現が注目され、様々なギャラリーで個展を開催している。

熊谷峻さんの作品は、ガラス鋳造の技法を応用して製作されます。表面に焼き付けられた土とガラスの重なりが独特の質感を持つ作品は、古代ガラスを想わせる魅力があります。2匹の猫と暮らす中でできた作品は、オブジェのような佇まいのうつわです。

Born in 1983. He studied glass art at a university in Akita prefecture. After working as an artist affiliated with a glass studio in Toyama Prefecture, he started his own studio in Akita Prefecture in 2020. His unique expression of works with unique textures has attracted a lot of interest, and he has held solo exhibitions at various galleries. His works are produced by applying glass casting techniques. The overlapping layers of clay and glass baked onto the surface give his works a unique texture that is reminiscent of ancient glass. The works are vessels with the look of objets d'art.
